ECR Heavy Equipment & Construction Training offers courses and instruction to students from beginners to already-seasoned operators. Our instructors will provide individualized optional training, leading you on a journey toward a larger skill set and becoming a credentialed professional.

  • ECR Heavy Equipment & Construction Training, instructors and staff are registered under the New Brunswick Private Occupation Training Act, Department of Public Safety & Human Resources Skills Development Canada.
  • At ECR Heavy Equipment Training, our goal is to have our students work-ready as possible. Our students also learn to do many different jobs, and complete different job related training.
  • ECR offers training on several pieces of equipment. (Excavator, Bulldozer, Backhoe, Loader/Compactor, Skid Steer/Rough Terrain Forklift , Road Grader and Dump Truck).
  • ECR offers several different courses. 1 piece (2 week), 2 piece (4 week), 3 piece (6 week), 4 piece (8 week), 5 piece (10 week), 6 piece (12 week) Heavy Equipment & Construction Training Courses (please see below for more details on each course).
  • Students can also add on hourly class 1 or class 3 Training or a 2.5 week class 1 or class 3 Truck Course.
  • ECR is now offering a 12 Week Heavy Equipment Construction Course (please click on tab for more details).
  • ECR offers courses all year round and starts new courses every 6 weeks (please see below for a current list of start dates).
  • ECR offers training on over 150 Acres of terrain.
  • ECR offers lifetime job assistance.


Financial Assistance maybe available to qualifying students. Contact your local Employment Resource Center and make an appointment with an EI Counselor to see if you qualify. Student Lines of Credits are also available at participating banks as well as Student Loans.


Accommodations are available upon request at an additional low cost.

Evaluation Assessment Certification

For *Experienced Operators*

  • 8 Hours minimum for 1 piece of equipment of your choice - Cost: $800.00+
  • 4 Hours for each additional piece of equipment of your choice - Cost: $350.00


CHOICE OF:

Excavator, Bulldozer, Backhoe, Loader/Compactor, Skid Steer/Rough Terrain Forklift and Road Grader

  • 4 Hour classroom training includes personal and operational safety, horn and hand signals, substance abuse
  • 4 Hours of practical instruction and evaluation of pre-operation and operation per piece of equipment chosen
  • Certification for Experience Operators
